Computer - Internet Use Policies

  The Bowie Public Library Public Access Computers are designed to help bridge the “digital divide” for all members of Montague and surrounding counties by providing access to technology.

The following guidelines are designed to help maintain an ATMOSPHERE OF LEARNING & to preserve our resources for years to come.  Computer users are responsible for using the services in an ethical, considerate manner & must comply with all relevant laws (local, state or federal).

Printing, Faxing, and Scanning: Black and White copies are 0.25¢ a page and Color copies are 0.50¢ a page. Faxing is $1 per page for the first 5 and .10¢ afterwards. Scanning is .10¢ per page.

Staff Assistance: BPL staff is here to assist with basic internet or computer questions. The Library does not guarantee that trained staff is available during all hours open to the public. If you are unable to locate information, you may leave a request at the Circulation Desk for a staff member to do a search for you; please allow 24 hours for this search to be completed.   

Children & Computers

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult while in the library.

Children under the age of 18  must have a parent/guardian sign the Computer Usage Agreement Form in order to use the computers. Parents must come by the library and sign the form in person.

Minor children are not to be left unattended while adults are using the computers.
